In 2017 I was contracted to create this game for Gap Filler, Christchurch city. The game runs on the Super Street Arcade system, a giant screen fixed to the side of a building.
Players control the game with a giant joystick and buttons from the other side of the street. The game runs 24 hours per day and is free to play.
This is one of the most interesting game design projects I have been involved with. This is mainly due to the fact that it is a public installation,
which means I can see people play the game. Normally my games are played online, so I never get to see the reaction of the players. It has been
most rewarding to watch locals and tourists smile and laugh as they have fun together playing the game. I hope to be involved in similar projects in the future.
